CATEGORIES FOR TITLE INCLUDE:
Formal Wear, Casual Wear and, for ages 4 and up, Onstage Introduction
One Winner in Each Age Division. Title Winners Receive a lovely crown, embroidered sash and beautiful trophy.
AGE DIVISIONS -
Baby Miss: 0-23 Months
Wee Miss: 2-3 Years
Tiny Miss: 4-5 Years
Little Miss: 6-9 Years
Young Miss: 10-12 Years
Teen Miss: 13-15 Years
Miss: 16-19 Years
Please check details for each individual preliminary for ages offered at each competition.
COMPETITION CATEGORIES (scores count for the title):
Formal Wear - Long or short dress for ages under 10. Ages 10 and up must wear a long dress.
Casual Wear - Casual wear will be western attire unless the preliminary is designated as a specific theme preliminary. No glitz/pro am outfits!
Onstage Introduction - Contestant says name, age and something interesting about themselves. 30 second time limit. (Ages 4 and up only); done in formal wear
OPTIONAL CATEGORIES (do not count towards the title):
Best Awards - Best eyes, Best smile, Best hair, Best Dressed, Best Model. Optional Best Awards will be awarded for each age division
Photogenic - 5x7 or 8x10 photos. Can be color or black and white. No retouched glitz photos. Optional photogenic awards will be awarded for each age division.
Portfolio - up to 10 photos. Can be color or black and white. No retouched glitz photos. Optional portfolio award will be an overall award.
Talent - Two minutes or under. Optional talent award will be an overall award. One talent award will be given for each preliminary.
Additional Information:
We are a natural pageant system. Absolutely no makeup on children ages 5 and under. Light, natural, age appropriate makeup allowed for all contestants ages 6 and up!
No glitz costumes, however rhinestones, lace, jewels, beads and stoning are allowed.
Modeling—Pro-am modeling is not allowed during the Formal Wear or Casual Wear (Western Wear or Holiday Theme Wear) competition. We will have a standard T formation marked out on stage. 3 X’s in back and 1 X in front. Use natural straight pageant walk. Show poise and grace in these competitions. Keep it simple.
Babies 11 months and under must be carried on stage by one parent during competition. Babies are judged only on facial beauty and personality and there are no extra points or benefits to babies that can stand or walk. Contestants’ ages 12-23 months must have a parent on stage with them. Contestants’ ages 2-3 years must have one parent back stage and may be on stage only if child will not go on stage. Coaching on or off stage or behind judges tables is NOT allowed.
Video camera pass to film event with your own video camera is $10. No still photography by parents or spectators. Professional photographer will be taking stage shots and selling photo CDs for a very reasonable price.
